The UNICEF Multi Country Office (MCin the Pacific is in its second year of the 20232027 country programme, with an expanded focus on partnerships, resource mobilization and donor relationships. Much of the work of UNICEF across the 14 Pacific countries it supports requires attention to monitoring and reporting of progress and demonstrating results for children, which needs to be properly documented and effectively communicated to partners.
The strengthening and diversification of donor portfolios, new engagement with partners and proactive fundraising requires highquality writing and reporting in support of the CP implementation. Aside from the regular midyear and annual reports and donor reports, the production of quality donor proposals is being stepped up to ensure funding of the country programme.
All 14 Pacific Island countries and territories have ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, but only a third are on track with reporting obligations. Explore the different areas of our work here: UNICEF Pacific Islands.
How can you make a difference?
The Partnerships Officer will work under the close supervisor of the Partnership Specialists (P3) to support the senior management in deepening and expanding collaboration with key existing and new public/private partners and stakeholders in mobilizing and leveraging funds for the UNICEF Pacific MCO.
One of the key responsibilities of the Partnerships Officer is to track, followup, review, finalize and submit all narrative and financial reports as per reporting timelines in Fiori. He/She will strictly follow the internal donor reports process and preparation timeline to ensure that every single report is submitted before the submission deadline.
