Job Summary

The Pauline Quirke Academy is currently recruiting teaching assistants for their weekend performing arts Academy in Warrington.

Job Description

Brilliant, inspirational and energetic, you will instil your passion for the performing arts into the hearts and minds of the young people who attend our academies. Applicants should have a passion for performing arts, and working with children and young people aged 4-18. PQA offers an attractive rate of pay (dependent on experience) and unrivalled support.

The teaching assistant role that is available will work with ages ranging 6-18yrs (Main Academy). Our Main Academy take part in all three modules; Drama & Comedy, Musical Theatre and Film & Television. Knowledge of all three modules is not essential.

Position is for a full day on Saturdays (10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm)
£40 per session (£80 for full day)

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL criteria

Passion for the performing arts
Experience in acting, singing or dancing
Already have or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and Safeguarding Training.
A clear commitment to youth drama training.
Must be 18 years old or over
Experience of teaching children isn’t essential as you will have support to develop your owns skills.

All teaching assistants will ideally have the below qualities:

Fun/sense of humour.
Genuine passion for their subject and for teaching.
Evidence of continuing their professional development.
Punctuality and professionalism.
