Job Summary

Supervising and supporting personal care, health, social, learning and professionally oriented organisation, administrative and activities tasks so that the client is able to develop effective routines, progress and continue to access support in each of these areas.

Job Description

5 hours p/week at a rate of £20 p/hour. Mixture of in person(Lewisham), remote and independent work. Mostly daytime but some weekend or evening work where negotiated. Annual leave, bank holiday and pension contributions included.

I am an artist and student whose hobbies and interests include listening to podcasts, attending exhibitions, performances, theatre, the cinema, health advocacy and participating in disability friendly activities when able. I navigate multiple forms of late diagnosed neuro diversities including adhd, autism and several chronic illnesses.

These affect my organisation, communication, problem solving, concentration and daily functioning including around pain and fatigue.

I work mainly with performance but am seeking to accessibly increase my object making and audio visual work returning to education this autumn. A personal assistant who can support my journey including learning and documenting together how my personal and professional needs fluctuate and can be effectively managed will be essential. I am highly interested in the world and people around me. I am seeking to build a mutually generative and healthy working relationship.

This role involves coming into the care plan at a foundational stage where I am learning, developing effective methods for daily living, working, learning and organisation that support me towards my independence and potential as a person and arts professional. I hope to increase the amount of professional work I do, meaning I hope resources and therefore this role might grow and include liaising with additional support professionals in these areas. This role includes co-creating a learning space around accessibility and disability alongside me as the client and towards sustainable methods.
