Job Summary

Work as the personal assistant and support worker for a creative and cultural leader, assisting them in every element of their daily life and career, both as an organisational leader and a multidisciplinary creative.

Job Description

Leading disabled creative and cultural leader seeks personal assistant and support worker to support them in every element of their daily life and creative career.

I’m a LGBTQ, disabled creative and cultural leader who relies on 24/7 care. I’m currently recruiting to my supportive and skilled care team for people to work with me one-on-one in my Lewisham home. Your support would run through this, giving me what I need on a moment to moment basis to enable me to have my career and lead my life.

Whether you’re helping me dress for the day or attend a meeting with a major theatre partner, giving me my medication or setting up my cameras for filming, you would be a vital part of my creative life and career.

There are part and full-time hours available, working daytimes or nighttimes – because the cultural sector doesn’t stop when the sun goes down, and nor does my life.

Pay is £12.71-£13.85 per hour. There are options for bank shifts (you will be offered shifts and can take or refuse them as you wish), regular part-time hours (usually 24.5 per 14 days), and extensive irregular cover shifts offering up-to full-time hours.

Job closes midnight 30th June 2026.

Job Requirements

Must be based in the UK and have the right to work here (I’m unable to offer sponsorship)
LGBTQ-friendly and comfortable supporting me (essential)
Able to work independently and as part of a friendly team
Prior care experience with relevant training/certification (a bonus, but not required)
Driving license and willingness to drive a large automatic vehicle in London required
