Job Posting Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This is a full time, evening shift opportunity working Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. This position is a hybrid between a Staff Pharmacist and a Clincical Pharmacist. As a Pharmacist at Baptist Beaches, you will have the opportunity to work in a 135 bed hospital, just steps off the beach, within a newly renovated, state-of-the-art pharmacy! This Pharmacist will be working from the central pharmacy and engaging in operational and clinical activities, allowing you to exercise your skills in many different areas. This Pharmacist will be overseeing technician workflow, verifying medication orders, and checking final products. This Pharmacist will be handling consults and new admissions. This Pharmacist will work within a small team with another evening Pharmacist and technician support, while more independent work will be required for weekends. A Pharmacist’s license in the State of Florida is required for this position and at least one year of hospital experience. Board Certification and completed PGY1 is preferred. Training for this position will be approximately 4-6 weeks, dependent on level of experience, past utilization of Epic and Omnicell, and spread across day and evening shifts. 

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serves on committes as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
