Facility:Dayton Children’s – Main CampusDepartment:Clinical PharmacySchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The pharmacist oversees the daily operations within the department to ensure the safe and appropriate processing and delivery of medications to the patients. The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and verifying medication orders and completing the final check for medication dispensing. The pharmacist monitors patient drug therapies, provides drug information, and promotes medication safety. The pharmacist supports and supervises the pharmacy technicians. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.
This role complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies.

Education requirements
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy OR Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
Licensure: Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Ohio required. Must be obtained prior to start date.
Years of Experience:
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Pediatrics or relevant specialty OR
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency with pediatric focus OR
4 years hospital experience with pediatric patients
Experience: Inpatient Pharmacist
3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
1 year of pediatric pharmacy experience
Education Requirements:
Bachelors: Pharmacy (Required)
Certification/License Requirements:
Rph Ohio – Registered pharmacist – Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
