Parkview Physicians Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our practice that employs excellent diplomatic communication skills. An interested candidate should have the ability to collaborate with intra-interdepartmental team members as well as community organizations or members. A qualified candidate would have the ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to best serve our patients.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a Masters’ degree program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant Program (ARC-PA).
• Current or pending state license
• Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.

Certifications as required by specialty which may be but is not limited to:

• BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS/ACLS-EP
• PALS
• ATLS
• CSR

Certain departments or specialties may require additional experience as a Physician Assistant.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and handle a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to connect with patients and colleagues warmly and professionally.
• Ability to evaluate and treat all demographic groups: infant, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

The Microsurgery Physician Assistants main responsibilities include:

• Work in collaborative physician-PA team assigned to specific physicians to improve coordination of care and improve outcomes.
• To be an extension of the surgeon and represent the surgeon when they are not available.
• Work up new patients in clinic, perform HPI, PMH, PSH, etc; new cancer discussions, order any additional testing as necessary.
• See postop patients and established patients either independently or with physician.
• Act as First assist to surgeon in the OR.
• Perform drain removals, tissue expansion, wound checks, complex dressings.
