Physician Assistant – SICU, Burn, Liver Transplant, and General Surgery – Nights – Per Diem

Manage a variety of post-operative patients from different surgical sub-specialties, including trauma patients, general surgery, surgical oncology, colorectal, urology, liver transplant, hepatobiliary, burn, breast, plastic and acute critical care surgery. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to do trauma, burn and liver consults on all floors, main ED and the trauma bay. 

Work Schedule: 12.5 hour primarily NIGHT shift flex to day shift as needed.

This per diem position is primarily for general surgery inpatient floor service (NO operating or scrubbing opportunity) with flexibility to cover SICU, Burn and Liver transplant service as needed.

Preferred Criteria

• Background in Surgery
• Critical care experience
• Strong new graduates with a demonstrated passion for managing surgical patients are encouraged to apply

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
• NYS licensure and NCCPA certification
• BLS/ACLS certification
• DEA certification
• ATLS certification
