Responsibilities

Ascension Lourdes is looking for an Internal Medicine Physician for our Lourdes Internal Medicine Vestal Practice. 

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Lourdes to provide medical services to patients in an Internal Medicine Practice setting.

Position Highlights:

• Join a well-established highly-regarded Practice of Internal Medicine physicians and APP providers.
• Call is shared equally among all providers.
• Practice is located in a HPSA area and physician may be eligible for loan forgiveness as a certified NHSC site.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in outpatient consultation for Internal Medicine specialty, which may include on call schedule.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

• Physician MD/DO credentialed and Board Certified from the New York Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentialing Office will verify licensing.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).

Additional Preferences

Salary Range:

$267k-$310k
