About Your Work

The Physician Network Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the growth, development, and maintenance of our network of healthcare providers. This role involves collaborating with physicians, medical groups, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations to establish strong relationships, optimize network performance, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and values. The coordinator will support efforts to expand the network by identifying opportunities for new partnerships, managing credentialing and contracts, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external providers. 

You will focus on 

  • Network Expansion and Development
  • Identify and evaluate potential physicians, medical groups, and healthcare facilities for inclusion in the network.
  • Support the negotiation and contracting process for new provider agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess network needs and identify gaps in care or service areas.
  • Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, practice administrators, medical groups, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians/providers and the organization, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering ongoing collaboration.
  • Regularly communicate with providers to ensure satisfaction and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Contract Management
  • Assist in the drafting, review, and renewal of provider contracts.
  • Monitor compliance with contract terms, ensuring that providers adhere to agreed-upon guidelines and performance standards.
  • Support the development of new or modified contracts in response to network needs or regulatory changes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect and analyze data related to network performance, provider utilization, and quality metrics.
  • Track and report on network growth, physician engagement, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership on network status, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, compliance, and operations, to ensure smooth integration of new providers and effective communication across the network.
  • Coordinate provider meetings, training, and orientations to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing education about organizational policies and practices.
  • Market Research and Trend Analysis
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to support strategic network planning.
  • Provide insights into market dynamics, including potential opportunities for network expansion and areas of improvement.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
  • Ensure that the physician network development activities comply with relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Work with compliance teams to ensure all physician agreements and relationships are in accordance with applicable healthcare standards.

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply data to decision-making.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, payer-provider relationships, and reimbursement models.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare-related software (e.g., CRM, EHR systems).
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
  • Required: Minimum of 3 years in healthcare administration, provider relations, network development, or a related role.

Altais values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.

Physical Requirements: Office Environment – roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
