Saint Joseph Medical Center – Mishawaka Hospital/Saint Joseph Medical Group (SJMG), has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Fellowship trained and Board Certified or Board Eligible* Obstetrics and Gynecology Laborist physician to join a growing Laborist practice located in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Our Laborist team provides OB coverage for a hospital in Northern Indiana. The selected candidate will provide Obstetrics and Gynecology (Laborist) coverage for Obstetrics patients of all ages. The successful candidate will have two – three years of experience (five years of experience would be preferred). Physicians must be Board Eligible and Board Certified within 5 years of training. The schedule for this opportunity is rotating 12 hour shifts 7am – 7pm and 7pm – 7am, or 24 hour shifts 7am – 7am, usually one week on and one week off (final schedule dependent on other candidates).

SJRMC – Mishawaka Campus has received Perinatal Certification through Indiana Department of Health, and both are in good standing. Our NICU is a Level III who handles all gestations, but transfers are for babies with surgical (abdominal, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery) needs or ECMO. Mishawaka Campus has between 100-140 deliveries/month; approximately 20-40 (total) C/S per month. Total Number of Beds: 8 Labor rooms; 4 ante partum rooms; 15-20 post-partum rooms (w/overflow).
