The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Minnesota is recruiting for an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified/eligible surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank on the academic or clinician track to join us as a Plastic Surgeon specializing in gender-affirming surgeries including genital and facial feminization.Practice HighlightsA team of physicians supporting gender care services which include urology (phalloplasty stage 2 & 3 and vaginoplasty), dermatology for hair removal, primary care for hormone management, Ob/Gyn for hysterectomies, and 3 other plastic surgeons perform breast augmentation and masculinizing top surgeries.Opportunity to participate in research projects and scholarly activities tailored to career interests and goals. The successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise/interest in caring for patients requiring body, genital, and facial gender affirmation surgery, and demonstrates the interest and ability to cultivate clinical and research collaboration within our and other disciplines involved in the care of gender dysphoria. The candidate will be primarily responsible for gender affirmation surgeries, but will also be responsible for participating in plastic surgery call and treating general plastic surgery patients. The candidate must be willing to work at off-site facilities in addition to the main University Hospital.
