Job DescriptionJob Title: Postdoctoral AssociateDivision: SurgeryWork Arrangement: Onsite onlyLocation: Houston, TXSalary Range: Hiring up to 61,428FLSA Status: ExemptWork Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.SummaryThe Department of Surgery’s Aortic Disease Research Laboratory is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate to Manage clinical projects on aortic disease research. The candidate will study the molecular mechanisms of aortic diseases, using state-of-the-art techniques and advanced animal models.Job Duties

• Designs and executes experiments in signal transduction, epigenetic gene expression regulation, single-cell omics, vascular biology with focus on aortic aneurysms and dissections.
• Writes manuscripts and presents results at both national and international professional conferences.
• Contributes with overseeing clinical data entry into electronic databases sourced from electronic medical records or other clinical databases, etc.
• Assists other postdoc and pre-doc fellows in the lab.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
• No experience required.
