A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dilek Colak through the Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, NY.
Project: Modeling Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using stem cell-derived brain organoids and genetically modified mouse models. The CRISPRed engineered lines for some mutants are ready to use. The study will involve wide range of techniques such as brain organoid cultures, cellular/molecular assays, mouse behavioral assays, stereotaxic injections, histology as well as synaptic plasticity studies/electrophysiology (in collaboration with other lab members).
You must have experience in neuroscience and be in possession of a PhD. Please DO NOT APPLY if you do not have experience in AT LEAST ONE of the following: neuroscience, autism, neuronal studies, neural stem cells. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
