Position SummaryPost-doctoral fellow position in the Laboratory of Molecular Mechanisms of Auditory Perception and DeafnessWe are seeking a team-oriented and motivated post-doctoral fellow to join the lab of Dr. Bo Zhao, at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) to study the underlying molecular mechanisms of auditory perception and deafness.
More information on our current research interests and the lab can be found at: https://medicine.iu.edu/faculty-labs/zhaoThe successful applicant will employ biochemistry, immunohistochemistry and/or mouse genetics approaches to identify molecules and pathways that regulate the morphogenesis and functions of cochlear hair cells, the primary receptors for sound in the inner ear.We are particularly looking for a highly motivated and creative candidate with a Ph.D. degree in cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or a closely related field. Individuals with a strong methodological background in molecular biology, biochemistry, mouse genetics or microscope imaging are highly encouraged to apply. Basic QualificationsDoctorate degree requirements. Applicants must have a PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or a closely related field and should be eligible for employment in the US. Individuals with a strong methodological background in molecular biology, biochemistry, mouse genetics or microscope imaging are highly encouraged to apply. The candidate must also have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills.
