Position HighlightsThe Lunar & Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate I in the field of planetary atmospheres. Efforts from this postdoctoral associate will emphasize developing convection-resolving models and applications of these tools to sub-stellar objects. Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include developing three-dimensional atmospheric dynamics models and leading comparisons of results from these tools to open-source, one-dimensional atmospheric models. Subsequent efforts will emphasize improving approaches to modeling the time evolution of gaseous exoplanets, especially sub-Neptune-like exoplanets. Additional responsibilities will include co-designing and co-delivering a Python training seminar for early-career undergraduate researchers. The successful applicant will also participate in team meetings, presentation of results at conferences, and preparation of original scientific research manuscripts.
