It focuses on developing innovative algorithms and models to address complex problems in diverse fields such as robotics, healthcare, and finance. The department offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, fostering a collaborative environment that bridges theoretical research and practical applications. Faculty and students frequently collaborate with industry and other academic disciplines to push the boundaries of what is possible with machine learning.We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate is to perform postdoctoral research in machine learning as a member of Virginia Smith’s group in the MLD at CMU.Core Responsibilities:Performing research, collaborating/advising with students in the group, and attending weekly group meetings.Research in AI, machine learning, computer science and electrical and computer engineering.Working closely with interdisciplinary researchers.Performs other duties as assigned.Inclusion and cultural sensitivity are valued proficiencies at CMU.
