About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team. He/She should have a strong background in project management with a focus on managing training, capacity-building, and organizational development activities’ efficiency and effectiveness.

He/she will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of various projects within our organization. Should have a proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise projects within the organization, providing guidance, support, and oversight to project teams.
  • Lead the development and implementation of project management strategies, plans, and processes to ensure timely and quality delivery of project outputs.
  • Manage projects implementation, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation, in coordination with project teams.
  • Lead partners and stakeholders’ involvement in project planning, implementation, and decision-making processes, ensuring their active participation and contribution.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and events related to project activities, fostering positive relationships and promoting collaboration.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status, achievements, and challenges for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Manage projects budgets, track expenses, and report to the program lead on a monthly basis, as per the agreed projects tool in the dashboard.
  • Coordinate and follow up with the operational departments to ensure projects progress in alignment with established plans and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure proper financial oversight and compliance with budgetary requirements.
  • Provides efficient and effective management, monitoring, and evaluation process, focusing on the achievements.
  • Conduct a post-project evaluation to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify institution development needs and priorities
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive strategy aligned with organizational objectives and best practices.
  • Contribute to design and implement organizational development plans tailored to the specific needs of different beneficiaries.
  • Design and deliver capacity-building projects for governance and organizational development.

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Public Health (Preferable).
  • Preferable to have experience working in organizational development or capacity-building within the healthcare sector.
  • PgMP or PgMD Certified is preferable or PMP/PMD Pro at least.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering capacity-building program.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of organizational challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Prior experience working in the Syrian healthcare sector and an understanding of the context in northwest Syria is a must.
  • Familiarity with good governance standards and best practices is a plus.
  • Travel to participate in stakeholder meetings and workshops inside Syria is required.
