Program / Project Manager
Long Term Contract for ~1-2 years with the possibility of conversion
Target Pay Rate is ~$50-60+/hr
Houston, TX 77043 (near the 8 and 10 junction); hybrid with 1 day a week remoteSummary:
The Program Manager is responsible for setting project management standards, facilitating the planning, and overseeing the execution of strategic projects that underpin our strategic programs. The Program Manager ensures that projects align with our mission and values, are completed on time and within budget, and contribute to maximizing our impact.Required:

  • Strong Program and/or Project Management experience
  • Experience with Managing IT Projects
  • PMO / experience establishing best practices, processes, and procedures
  • Experience Managing Project Budgets

Nice to have:

  • PMP
  • Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools
  • Experience Managing non-IT projects including Grants, Marketing, etc.
  • Non-profit or charitable foundation experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Standards:
  • Establish project management standards, methodologies, and best practices for the Foundation.
  • Design processes to maintain the project management standards and tools.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff and project teams on project management principles.
  • Ensure that project management tools and templates are readily available and utilized effectively.
  • Strategic Project Facilitation:
  • Work closely with senior leadership to identify and prioritize strategic projects that align with the Foundation’s mission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Allocate and manage resources for project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage project risks.
  • Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
  • Oversee project implementation, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.

Key Metrics:

  • % of projects delivered with full scope and within schedule and budget.
  • % of projects delivered on time.
  • % of projects delivered within budget.
  • % of projects using the project management standards and tools.
  • # of Project Management Reports designed & implemented.
  • Internal NPS (Net Promoter Score) for project management processes.
