Do you want to join an activist association and take concrete action for more social justice?
For more than 40 years, Doctors of the World has been working to treat the most vulnerable populations, to denounce the obstacles to access to care and to bring about lasting changes in health policies.
In France and in nearly 30 countries, our actions are based on six political battles:
• sexual and reproductive health and rights (including the right to abortion)
• Migration, exile, rights and health
• Risk reduction
• Health Environment
• Rights and the health system
• Humanitarian spaces
Improving access to health and rights
For more than 30 years in Toulouse, Doctors of the World has been committed to people excluded from care and the law. Today, two projects are being carried out by the delegation: the Centre d’Accueil de Soins et d’Orientations (CASO) and the Santé Habitat Précaire project via a go-to modality.
The CASO project in Toulouse is intended for anyone living in Toulouse, in a precarious economic or administrative situation and experiencing difficulties in accessing care. It aims to improve access to health and rights for this public. Our offices offer an unconditional welcome without appointment. People can benefit from medical, nursing, social and psychological consultations, as well as group sessions to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). In an empowerment approach, people are supported in seizing their rights to health and in requesting the common law mechanisms to which they can have access.
