Working closely with our team, you’ll coordinate projects from planning through to delivery, support artists and creative practitioners, develop partnerships, manage budgets and contribute to funding, evaluation and reporting.
We’re looking for someone with experience managing arts or cultural programmes, excellent project management skills, and a passion for contemporary visual arts and artist-led practice.
The Programme Manager will work closely with the Director, Studio Manager, Marketing Manager and Premises Manager to deliver Paradise Works’ artistic programme and organisational objectives.
The role involves regular collaboration with Paradise Works studio artists, freelance artists, curators, creative practitioners, funders, local communities and partner organisations to develop, deliver and evaluate a high-quality programme of activity.
This is a freelance, fixed-term contract running until February 2026. The role is offered on the basis of 48 days (7 hour days) with a fee of £175 per day (£8,400). Working days can be agreed with the successful candidate, with flexibility required to support occasional in-person evening and weekend events.
There is potential for the contract to be extended beyond February 2026, subject to the availability of future funding.
– Strong understanding of contemporary visual arts, artist-led practice and the wider cultural sector.
– Experience managing exhibitions, arts programmes and cultural projects from planning through to delivery.
– Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
– Experience coordinating events and working collaboratively with artists, freelancers, partners and stakeholders.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Experience managing project budgets, financial administration, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and online project management tools.
– Able to work independently, use initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
– Knowledge of Arts Council England-funded projects, fundraising, grant applications and community engagement programmes.
– Flexible to support occasional evening and weekend events.
