About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Project Coordinator to support the effective and impactful implementation of our Locally led humanitarian solutions: Building resilience in fragile contexts affected by climate change (LLHS) which is a Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (USAID BHA) funded project.
The Project Coordinator, as a member of the secretariat team, is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the LLHS project, including coordination and monitoring project activities and budget; maintaining relations with project partners, producing donor reports and capturing and disseminating learning and advocacy.

This is a varied and exciting role which encompasses a range of tasks and responsibilities in a high-profile and innovative programme that will require constant and meaningful engagement between civil society, local and national governments and other stakeholders.

Overall scope of the role
The remit of this post will cover the following core responsibilities:

  • Project coordination and adhering to USAID BHA regulations
  • Donor coordination
  • Project partners
  • Advocacy
  • External representation
  • Team management

Candidate requirements
We are ideally looking for candidates who have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Relevant experience in coordinating and implementing complex international development and humanitarian projects, specifically related in climate change, DRR and conflict
  • Previous experience in handling USAID BHA projects and other institutional donor contract management with knowledge of USAID BHA compliance requirements
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English developed in a professional context
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted working relationships with civil society organisations preferably developed within the countries of interest
  • Knowledge of project management and monitoring tools and framework
  • Cultural sensitivity, comfortable in cross cultural communication with people from different backgrounds
  • A commitment to GNDR values of trust, mutual accountability, equality, inclusion and respect for diverse identities and perspectives

Eligibility
We are accepting applications from candidates based in India, Kenya, Senegal and Guatemala. Suitable candidates will need to be able to travel internationally when necessary.

Salary
We offer competitive salary and benefits based on the regional location. This is a fixed-term, full-time position until project completion on 1 December 2027.

Negotiable although we are looking to fill the position as soon as possible.
