Job description
Project Manager: United Hardware is seeking a full-time Project Manager for our Retail Operations Department.
United Hardware, home of the Hardware Hank brand, is a full-line wholesale hardware distributor providing products, retail programs and support services to independent retailers. Headquartered in Maple Grove, MN, United Hardware services dealers from its 400,000 square foot distribution center in Milbank, SD and delivers to locations in 15 states.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Service dealers by producing professionally displayed store, developed from an approved store plan in a predetermined time frame at the least expense
Provide consultation to dealers and their store employees in proper methods of merchandising, use of fixtures and equipment, checking in merchandise, etc.
Assist with servicing dealers by overseeing the merchandising of all departments and taking an active role in all difficult departments, i.e.: tools, electrical, hardware, plumbing, etc.
Represent the company and work with all individuals involved to eliminate any problems or personnel conflicts. i.e.: dealers, District Managers, store planner, etc.
Implement any and all corporate programs as needed, i.e.: STARS, Store Plans, Planograms, POP, Signs, etc.
Exercise discretion and independent judgement to evaluate and recommend changes or alterations to approved store plan during a project as needed.
Update departments and add/order products as needed during project process * Maintain a valid driver s license and drive an automobile to execute job responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
High School or GED
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
Retail experience
Fixture installation with ability to read Blueprints
Phone; copy machine; calculators; peg hooks; dolly; tools; fixtures; laptop; ordering devices
Extensive travel required
