Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: Hybrid working from 8201 Greensboro Dr, Suite 500E, 5th Floor, McLean VA – 22102 and customer worksiteThe candidate must possess an Active Secret ClearanceSummary:The Section 508 Team is responsible for basic helpdesk operations for the GTM/OAA/AD Section 508 Program for technical assistance, testing & assessment, document accessibility, document remediation, hardware/review and training. Through the governance function, the Section 508 Program ensures that IT governance is performed effectively and efficiently to ensure equal access to information and data for employees and customers with disabilities. The team is responsible for ensuring that IT accessibility is integrated into all aspects of acquisition and IT life cycles, including enterprise architecture, change management, and acquisition review.Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager’s responsibilities encompass the overall management of the contract and the day-today oversight of all Contractor work performed under the contract.
- They shall be the primary focal point for the contractor team.
- They shall ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements, providing expertise and guidance to review ITCCB change requests for Section 508 compliance, following OAA IT CCB procedures.
- Create and submit Change Requests (CR) and support documentation to the Information Technology Configuration Control Board (ITCCB) and administer the CR through the approval process for new accessibility-related tools.
- The Project Manager shall monitor ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual ITCCB outcome statistics, including the review and impact of change requests on Section 508 compliance, with a breakdown by the sponsoring change control board.
- The Project Manager will play an integral role in educating project personnel about Section 508 requirements within the project life cycle, reviewing project artifacts for Section 508 compliance.
- They will coordinate with the Section 508 Team Lead regarding Section 508 compliance issues for specific projects and provide support to DOS for technology insertion.
- The Project Manager will actively participate in the elicitation and elaboration of functional business requirements, ensuring that each requirement is testable and accompanied by acceptance and detailed test criteria.
- They will coordinate testing across multiple environments, facilitating unit, functional, performance, and user-acceptance testing.
- Tracking and reporting testing results, identifying and diagnosing solution configuration issues, and providing communication and follow-through on configuration issues related to testing errors will also be part of their responsibilities.
- The Project Manager’s responsibilities encompass the overall management of the contract and the day-today oversight of all Contractor work performed under the contract with an emphasis on ServiceNow for ticketing.
Position Requirements
- Experience in Software Development Methodologies such as Agile Scrum, Waterfall, or other project management methodologies, demonstrating the ability to effectively apply them to project execution.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including the use of Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, to facilitate efficient project management and streamline development processes.
- Knowledge and experience with Behavior Driven Development tools such as Cucumber, emphasizing their role in project management and ensuring alignment with project objectives. Excellent knowledge of SQL databases and back-end testing, enabling effective management and verification of project data and system functionality.
- Proven expertise in using bug tracking, version control management, and continuous integration systems, demonstrating an understanding of their importance in maintaining project quality and consistency.
- Experience working on UI builds with different technologies, with an understanding of how user interface development impacts project management and user experience.
- Excellent technical problem-solving and debugging skills, allowing for efficient identification and resolution of project-related issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective communication with project stakeholders, team members, and other relevant parties.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, showcasing efficient project management capabilities and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- They shall bring at least five (5) years of Project Management experience managing programs of similar size, scope, and complexity to this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Section 508 background
