About the Role:
- Plan International Pilipinas, in partnership with the Zurich Foundation, is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to contribute to our climate resilience initiative. As a Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in empowering communities to build resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate community-led planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
- Conduct participatory assessments to identify community needs and priorities.
- Build the capacity of community members, youth, and local government officials.
- Organize and mobilize community volunteers to participate in project activities.
- Document project activities and share lessons learned.
- Monitor project activities and track progress against key performance indicators
- Support emergency response activities, as needed, to provide immediate assistance to affected communities.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in community development or project implementation
- Strong understanding of child rights, gender equality, and disaster risk reduction
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to project sites
