About MUZUN:

Muzun for Humanitarian & Development (MHD) is a civil society and Non-profit organization registered in Turkey, Gaziantep since 2015.

MUZUN was founded by professional humanitarian workers engaged in the Syria response. We come from the communities affected by the conflict. We have set up this organization in order to support fellow Syrians with relief and non-relief assistance to maintain their under-pressured resilience and help them cope with the challenging conflict environment. In our work we focus on the most vulnerable including persons with special needs, children and women. As a grassroots organization, our work is community-led and therefore owned and sustainable. We have presence across Syria. MHD operates in Syria’s Northwest.

MISSION: Providing humanitarian and developmental services and assistance to the most vulnerable communities of displaced people and residents inside Syria and neighboring countries, men, women, and children to reach a Syrian civil society capable of facing the circumstances and involving them in the decision-making process and influence in its.

About the Position:
As a Project Officer, he/she will support the planning, implementation, and following of MUZUN’s project in Türkiye. He/she will work closely with project team leader, the technical employees, and key stakeholders to ensure that project activities align with MUZUN objectives and donor requirements.

Participate in the offers opening, and procurement committee to evaluate the competing bids and help choose the winning bid. Follow-up on project implementation in collaboration and coordination with other members of the field work team. Verify the received documents and ensure the potential beneficiaries comply with the required standards to benefit from the project. Coordinate payments and raise the necessary purchase requests during the project period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, monitoring, and implementing the assigned project.

  • Ensure project activities adhere to the approved proposal, budget, and implementation plan.

  • Regularly evaluate project progress and recommend corrective actions as needed.

  • Prepare and raise procurement requests based on project procurement and spend-down plans.

  • Draft donor narrative reports and internal program reports.

  • Carrying out technical assessments of identified sites and making recommendations for appropriate tailored interventions.

  • Support studying & preparing BoQs, scope of works.

  • Preparing technical conditions for tenders upon request.

  • Ensure that all of the needed administrative documentation is scanned and filed monthly with the relevant department.

  • To prepare the weekly implementation reports.

  • Document all implementation processes.

  • Provide new suggestions according to the needs and provide the required studies

    Required qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of experience in international and/or local NGOs (direct participation in project implementation is preferred)

  • University degree in civil engineering

  • At least 2 years’ experience in construction and maintenance projects.

  • At least 2 years experience in WASH projects

  • Proficiency in working with Excel.

  • Writing and reading in English – good level, Arabic is a must
