PDP are hiring a Project Schedule Manager to Establish mechanism to track project schedules with monthly (eventually weekly) reports, schedule change/risk management, and monthly schedule forecasts. Establish resourcing plan and appropriately on-board new/additional PSPs as needed to support workstream mobilizations required by the project.Role & Responsibilities
Review and analyze the schedules submitted by workstream schedulers, consultants and contractors
Lead workshops with client, workstream schedulers, consultant, and contractors to develop coordinated schedules and recovery schedules where applicable
Generate critical milestones for the construction stage for inclusion in tender documents through detailed discussions with the project team, evaluation of interfaces between buildings/infrastructure
Evaluate the schedules submitted during tender
Prepare monthly progress reports and other ad hoc reports
Evaluate extension of time claims, including concurrent delay and make appropriate recommendations to the project director
Estimate time impact of changes.
Manage schedulers assigned to the program
Evaluate the timing of logistics plans submitted by the contractor or prepared by the Construction Manager
Provides input for earned value management
Resolve scheduling issues with key stakeholders
Provide independent research work relating to more complicated areas of the project.
Implements and present innovative proposals to the Program Leadership and project team
Actively seek out schedule optimization opportunities together with project team
Monitor actual progress in the field and compare with plan to assist with the evaluation of payment claims
Provide leadership and support, and develop training related to planning / scheduling
Required Experience
Candidates should ideally have a bachelors degree or equivalent, in an appropriate Engineering discipline
15 plus years of relevant experience, in pharmaceutical sector preferred
Excellent Primavera P6 skills
Fully conversant with forms of contract, competent in financial and contractual matters
Understand and be able to apply resourcing and cost to schedule activities
Must be pro-active, adaptable, and able to motivate team members
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be a self-starter and possess leadership qualities
Able to set priorities and meeting critical time deadlines
Able to interface with both clients and other inter-office discipline at a senior level
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, construction sequencing and logistics
Strong command of written and spoken English
Preferred Experience
Experience working in Owner organizations or as an Owners Representative.
Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing or manufacturing of medical devices or related industries.
Experience with very large capital program organizations.
Experience using Oracle Primavera Unifier PMIS
