All About You

Job Summary
Under supervision of the Security Manager for Chaifetz Arena, the part time Public Safety Officer
perform duties that ensure the safety and security of all those participating in events at the Chaifetz
Arena or nearby athletic venues. This position is a uniformed, armed position. Hours will vary
depending on event schedule and will not exceed 30 hours per week.

Job Duties

• Patrol assigned area, staff post, or control traffic as assigned, providing a safe environment for participants and guests at events held at Chaifetz Arena.

• Provide assistance to event participants and guests as needed.

• Monitor and report all conditions which create security or safety hazards for event participants or guests at Chaifetz Arena.

• Respond to fire and security alarms as directed.

• Assist local law enforcement and/ or EMS responding to emergencies at Chaifetz Arena.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of security reporting and procedures.

• Knowledge of event security function and procedures.

• Ability to work flexible schedule.

• Ability to maintain honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and professional relationships.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Excellent Customer Service Skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience.

• Position requires successful completion of drug screen and psychological evaluation.

• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an armed security officer license the

• Watchmen’s Division of St Louis County/City Police.
