Research Associate for Disability Reforms
Coalitions for Change (CfC) is a program under the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and The Asia Foundation Partnership in the Philippines. CfC supports Philippine leaders in civil society, academe, the private sector, and government who pursue policy reforms to support inclusive economic growth, social development, governance, and peace towards improving the lives of Filipinos. The program also provides training and mentoring to equip leaders to better pursue policy reforms.
Background of the Project
Coalitions for Change works with partners to introduce policies that address gaps and create opportunities for protection of Persons with Disabilities in the Philippines. This reform sector will conduct technical analysis and coalition building activities in order to produce technically sound and politically feasible policy reforms for Persons with Disabilities in the Philippines.
Scope of Work of the Contractor
The successful candidate shall:
- Provide technical assistance in the research and development of policy papers, briefers, presentations, and other reference materials to be presented to government officials, partners, and key stakeholders
- Organize and Lead meeting documentation, crafting presentations, and organizing research data as necessary and as needed to support the team
- Support disability reform team and CfC team on reform activities such as events, coalition-building activities, and advocacy
- Network and collaborate with government agencies and civil society organizations, coalitions, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to team discussions and strategy planning
- Maintain collaborative relationships with the CfC Social Development team, its network, and partners.
