The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) is seeking a Research Fellow to work on a computer vision project. The position is for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
-
To Conduct research and develop advanced deep learning algorithms either for
-
image/video understanding
-
image/video generation
-
3D point cloud analysis
-
few-shot learning and weakly supervised learning,
-
online/continual learning.
-
-
To independently undertake research in computer vision and machine learning.
-
To produce research reports and/or publications as required by the funding body or for dissemination to the wider academic community.
-
To provide guidance and support to any students associated with the project.
-
To attend, contribute, and where necessary lead relevant meetings.
-
To undertake any other duties relevant to the programme of research.
Job Requirements:
-
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

Strong background in machine learning and computer vision.
-
Strong publication records in machine learning or computer vision conferences/journals.
-
Knowledge of scientific or engineering software like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
