Job Summary
Pharmacists process prescription orders for outpatients, monitor patient drug therapies, and provide drug information and patient education. Pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager. Must be patient-focused, team-oriented and have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Bachelors in Pharmacy
Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy
Experience
Preferred: Post-graduate Pharmacy Residency Training
Skills
Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as excel, word, and power point
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Licensed by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist or eligible for licensure by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist and obtains licensure within 90 days of hire.
Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire**
