Salary Range: £38,410 per annum

Start Date: As soon as possible

Duration of Contract: Permanent

Location: Fauna & Flora, Cambridge.

Current policy offers partial remote working with the UK

Founded in 1903, Fauna & Flora International (FFI) is the world’s longest established
international conservation organisation. Our vision is to create a sustainable future for the
planet where biodiversity is conserved by the people living closest to it. We aim to do this
through the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, choosing solutions
that are sustainable, based on sound science and take account of human needs. We have become a
trusted entity in the world of conservation. Today FFI is active in over 40 countries.

We are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Manager to lead the development, implementation and
monitoring of safeguarding policies, procedures and practice across Fauna & Flora.

With good knowledge of international safeguarding standards and approaches, you will have
proven experience in developing and rolling-out safeguarding policies and practices in an
international NGO. You will have experience in assessing safeguarding risks and
vulnerabilities, and in developing effective strategies for prevention, intervention, and
response.

You will be skilled in building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders,
including partner organisations, raising awareness and building capacity, and will have
experience in designing and delivering safeguarding training for a range of audiences. You will
be able to navigate complex international environments, and demonstrate a high level of
cultural awareness and sensitivity, working across geographically dispersed operations.

This is an exciting role, with the chance to use your skills to make a real difference to Fauna
& Flora, ensuring a culture of safety and accountability as we protect threatened species
and habitats around the world. In return, we offer the opportunity to work for a
ground-breaking organisation at the forefront of global conservation, with generous pension
contribution, attractive annual leave allowance, and life insurance.

Our offices are located in The David Attenborough Building in central Cambridge, just a few
minutes’ walk from glorious historic buildings and museums, the picturesque River Cam, the
central market and shopping centre, and a host of cafés and restaurants.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 21 July 2024. Interviews are
likely to take place during the week commencing 5 August 2024.
