Leading, managing and coaching the sales team for Pharma OSD technologies and taking full responsibility for the Order Intake (OI) target , GM Targets and Cash Flow

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Driving Personal pipeline management for each individual team member.
  • Developing and driving the prospect pipeline by driving business development through team as well as personal involvement.
  • At all times ensure careful stakeholder mapping and a connection matrix between customer and GEA is in place.
  • Developing and coaching all team members to evoke personal growth, and meet targets set for the team. Participate in customer meetings set up by team members (online and physical, to support, observe and feedback).
  • Organising top to top connections between customers and GEA.
  • Establishing and developing sales opportunities for GEA, by working closely with own team and RSMs who in their turn take responsibility for agents and R&C organisations.
  • Managing and reporting all sales activities, enquiries, customer reports and contact details.
  • Keeping an active relationship network in the market, meet customers, influence sales process, take active part / drive sales, develop case by case sales strategy together with team members.
  • Presenting at exhibitions and conferences, as well as seminars.
  • The role involves extensive travel, up to 50% of the time.

With the changing business climate, the online sales process will take more prominence. Therefore, it is vital to liaise with customers face to face through video/Teams Meetings or otherwise wherever possible

In addition to the above, the Regional Director of Sales OSD Sales APAC / India will have direct responsibility for:

  • Managing offer preparation through team and personally to meet customer information needs and deadlines.
  • Developing the correct case by case sales strategy to win projects.
  • Approving costings and profit margins for localised projects.
  • Resource planning: ensuring that all internal departments and external key suppliers are aware of and committed to providing the budgeted resources and deliverables on time, on budget and to specification.
  • Regular accurate forecasting of all sales prospects/activities.
  • Approving of holidays, expenses, and other departmental HR matters.
  • The position requires some level of presence in the office based in the region you represent, to meet team members, join for management meetings, join for quarterly sales meetings, participate in customer visits or else.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Engg Graduate in Chemical or any stream with 10+ years of experience and Pharma background.
