Park Theatre is looking for an experienced arts marketing professional with a steady hand to guide their award-winning Sales & Marketing department over the next 12 months.

Job Description

The Sales & Marketing Director (maternity cover) role presents a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team just after the launch of a new, industry-leading website and brand refresh in spring 2025.

As Sales & Marketing Director (maternity cover) you will provide guidance, support and continuity to the Sales & Marketing team, visiting producers and other departments. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring sales & marketing campaigns across the breadth of our programme. This includes in-house co/productions, visiting shows and season launches. Executing Park Theatre’s audience development strategy is a key responsibility, as well as contributing towards other organisational goals and business objectives as part of the Senior Management Team. You will act as a brand guardian for Park Theatre’s refreshed brand and have ultimate responsibility for all the theatre’s external communications, ensuring the right messaging and tone of voice are upheld.

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • Significant experience in a senior-level marketing role within a theatre or comparable arts organisation
  • Experience managing teams and freelancers
  • A proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns & hitting sales targets
  • Accurate budgeting and financial management skills
  • Keen proofing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, set & keep to deadlines, and support others to meet deadlines
  • A creative flair for the creation of artwork, imagery, film and visual assets
  • Personable with the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders including producers and creatives
  • Interrogate box office data and make data-driven marketing & sales decisions
  • Aligned with Park Theatre’s overall mission, vision and values
  • A passion for audience development
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, support and empower team members
