ABOUT iQ ACADEMY, LOS ANGELES AND TK-8 TEACHER POSITIONS: iQ Academy, Los Angeles delivers online/virtual home based instruction to TK-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily and log attendance. We use the K12, inc. curriculum as the basis for instruction and you will teach via the Engageli platform. Teachers instruct students online daily both synchronously and asynchronously. While a teacher’s class is generally made up of either elementary (TK-5) or middle school (6-8) grade students based on enrollment, teachers may have students in more than one grade level. Teachers are required to meet in-person and/or virtually with students once per quarter and possibly more often with students who are in need of extra support. Teachers are expected to have regular communication and conferences with students, families, and learning coaches via telephone and email, as well as monitor attendance. Teachers also attend virtual all-staff and department meetings and in-person professional development. • At least 24 units in early childhood education and/or childhood development

• A child development teacher or site coordinator permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
