About The Role:

KIT is looking for a producer with experience of working with young people to lead the delivery of our Schools Programme, focussing on leading the delivery of KIT’s Adventures in Learning in schools, particularly our Paul Hamlyn Foundation funded Pathways Programme in Thurrock and New Shores programme created with our partners Arcade in Scarborough.

The Schools Programme Producer will be joining KIT’s small HQ team of 2, and our wider group of 30 associate artists who are at the heart of our delivery.

This role is largely funded by a 3-year Arts Based Learning Grant from Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

Job Specification

Job title: Schools Programme Producer

Fixed term contract running through to August 2026.

Part-time PAYE position, 3 days a week.

Hybrid online/in person working with a minimum of one day per week in London

Candidate needs to live within commutable distance from London

Salary

£34,500 per annum Pro Rata (0.6 FTE)

Pay is reviewed annually at the end of KIT’s financial year in March.

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • 3 years’ experience of producing/project managing theatre.
  • Experience of producing work aimed at young people
  • Excellent planning and time management, with the ability to work across a range of projects, meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent financial management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills and competence of Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive.
  • An understanding of the realities of working within a small team, supporting colleagues where necessary.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with teachers and schools.
  • Experience of producing immersive or site-specific theatre.
  • Experience of creating work which relates to the National Curriculum.
  • Experience of making work for/by/with young people.
  • Knowledge of the arts education and/or museum and/or theatre sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding.
  • Experience of writing funding apps
