Job descriptionThis is a temporary contract opportunity with The Cigna Group through Magnit, an enterprise third-party vendor for contingent work.DutiesServes as the “servant leader” of the Scrum team by removing impediments and helping the team remain successful and on schedule. Must have a sufficient understanding of technology to enable them to lead team members and help them overcome their development roadblocks; they must also understand business strategy and objectives, and be able to ensure that development work is prioritized by business value and results align with objectives. The incumbent provides counsel and advice to top management on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex assignments.Skills

  • Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Knowledge of other agile approaches: XP, SAFe, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
  • Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
  • Previous experience as a team lead.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Proficient in monitoring and analyzing key team performance metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and cycle time to identify trends, optimizing processes and drive continuous improvement opportunities in their team’s agile practices
  • The ability to guide and support teams through changes in processes, tools, or roles, ensuring clear communication, minimizing resistance, and maintaining team performance throughout the transition
