SECONDARY ENGLISH Teacher

NACIS Shanghai is looking to recruit several Secondary English Teachers, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the subject of Secondary English and Literature.

The role:

We seek a qualified Teacher of Secondary English to join where your focus will be:

• To teach blended English curriculum to Grade 6 to Grade 8, IGCSE to Grade 9 and 10, Alevel or IBDP to Grade 11 and 12.
• To demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and be flexible within the English department to teach different aspects of the curriculum.
• To ensure that planning, preparation, teaching, recording, assessment and reports meet the needs of the students and expectations of the school.
• To promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s Secondary curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved.
• To foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.
• To actively contribute to wider school development and growth.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• Qualified Teacher status with a minimum of three to four years teaching experience in Secondary English and Literature
• Experience of IBDP or A-level English Language and Literature teaching is preferred.
• Understanding of effective teaching and learning theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children through classroom organization, differentiation and learning strategies.
• Holding a PGCE/ QTS or national recognized teaching license.
• A degree in English Language and Literature preferred.
• Team player and be flexible.

You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for China, including a bachelor degree, non-criminal background check and at least 24 months of teaching experiences.
