Job Title: Senior Account Manager Small Molecules Pharma

As a Sales Manager, you will oversee the sales and account management of a diverse portfolio of small molecules, including benzodiazepines, antidepressants, and other pharmaceutical compounds. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth, fostering strong customer relationships, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales efforts and production operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, exceptional relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and a solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Your key responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market growth targets for the assigned portfolio.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation and targeted outreach to pharmaceutical companies.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts, ensuring profitable outcomes while meeting customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to position the portfolio effectively and drive customer engagement.

Account Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, acting as the primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries.
  • Manage customer accounts by understanding their needs and ensuring solutions align with their objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor customer pipelines, forecast demand, and align sales plans with business objectives.

Integration of Operations into Systems

  • Ensure effective coordination between internal stakeholders, including supply chain, production sites, product managers, and commercial teams.
  • Act as the bridge between customer requirements and internal operations, ensuring systems and workflows support seamless execution.
  • Work closely with supply and production teams to track product availability, timelines, and capacity planning.
  • Guarantee the accurate input of operational data into CRM and sales systems, aligning with company processes.

You bring 

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to close deals and grow accounts.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication capabilities, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
  • Results-oriented, focus on problem-solving, self-motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic market environment.
  • Familiarity with small molecules, such as benzodiazepines and antidepressants, is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical sales cycles, including product launch and lifecycle management and familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or account management within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • An advanced degree (e.g., MBA or MSc) is a plus.
