nearmejobs.eu

At DIALOG, we are dedicated to design excellence and are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of our communities and our shared environment.

We are a multi-disciplinary collaborative of architects, interior designers, urban designers and planners, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, landscape architects and sustainability experts. We are a fun-loving bunch of big thinkers and city-shapers, who are collaborative in our approach, diverse in our perspectives, aspirational in our pursuits, and optimistic about what’s next. We are looking for smart, passionate people who share our values and care as much about our communities as we do. We’re proud to be a Certified B Corporation and one of Canada’s Greenest Employers; committed to using our design practice as a force for good in the world.

As a Senior Clinical Planner, you will be spearheading project work from Pre-Design through to construction. Collaborating with talented colleagues, you will work directly with clients to develop plans that balance clinical needs with human experience and design. We anticipate that a successful candidate has the following characteristics:

  • 10+ years of experience working with a Healthcare Design Practice.
  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
  • Eligibility for provincial architectural registration (i.e. OAA, AAA, or AIBC).
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in preparing and delivering presentations as well as leading clinical user group meetings and working with senior hospital leaders.
  • Experience leading the design of clinical departments from predesign through to construction documentation. Experience applying modern healthcare planning principles, including patient safety, evidence-based design, building codes and accessibility guidelines.
  • Basic Revit skills are required; proficiency is an asset. Our team works in a BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of the medical equipment planning process and experience collaborating with medical equipment planners.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead and take leadership of overall building strategies, departmental relationships and departmental plans. Complete work in all project phases including Master Planning, feasibility studies, Design, Construction Documentation and Contract Administration.
  • Present key design ideas and lead user group meetings.
  • Support the mentorship and growth of junior and intermediate professionals including working alongside and overseeing work.
  • Work collaboratively and coordinate effectively with both internal and external disciplines across every phase of the project.
  • Contribute to establishing and sustaining the studio’s design culture.

Don’t meet every single requirement? We still encourage you to apply! We’re looking for future DIALOGers who are eager to learn, bring unique perspectives, and want to make a real difference in the world—even if your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification.
