Job Description:Job DescriptionAre you a dynamic and skilled Senior Construction Project Manager (Mechanical) with a passion for making a difference in the lives of people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in the Northern New Jersey area.At IPS, we specialize in building manufacturing facilities for pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health clients. As a Sr. Construction Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a large, complex site in Rahway, NJ, leading the mechanical portions of construction projects to successful completion – safely, on time, and on budget.To excel in this role, you’ll need a strong mechanical background, an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality, and a focus on client engagement. You’ll guide our engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams to achieve project goals. You’ll maintain preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans; project scopes of work; budgets; and schedules. In coordination with accounting, you’ll manage vendor and subcontractor invoicing and client billing. We’ll rely on you to monitor project costs and field conditions, and ensure changes are fully reflected in cost reports.You’ll also monitor design content and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance. Collaboration is key, as you’ll coordinate the construction schedule with design, commissioning, and qualification schedule requirements. If project risks are identified, you’ll work to mitigate those in partnership with senior leadership.As a champion of our safety culture, you’ll be responsible for leading the established site safety program in your area and monitoring performance with CMs and Superintendents on site. You’ll regularly interact with the client, listening and ensuring that their needs are met with a focus on the IPS client experience. Qualifications & Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in project delivery or a related discipline.
• Experience managing mechanical construction (HVAC, chilled water, steam, etc.) for multi-million-dollar projects.
• Supervisory and business development experience.
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain and maintain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in construction of pharmaceutical, bio-tech and/or life science facilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients, team building, and strong work ethic.
• Must be able to build rapport with project staff.
• Commutable to Rahway, NJ.

Safety

• This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
• You may be assigned to client site for an extended period of time.
• Overnight travel or staying in the city of Client’s location is possible depending on assignment.
• You will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules.

This position is a safety sensitive position. The employee is considered a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for field work for IPS employees or subcontractors.
