Summary:

We currently have an opening for a Senior Manager, Pharmaceutical Commercial Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence to support development of our growing Sales and Marketing teams. This position reports to the Senior Director, IT Enterprise Systems and will play a key role in providing technology requirements and design as well as data and systems engineering for our enterprise MDM and operational data management platforms. The role will involve both hands on development of database and ETL systems as well as significant metadata, integration and DBA management. The position will have project and team leadership responsibility in driving projects to completion and will work in partnership with IT, business leadership and user groups in CRM and a range of internal and external data integration stakeholders. The role will also interface directly with vendors who provide and integrate standard and custom feeds used within Field Sales, Consumer, Patient and HCP Marketing, as well as Payer, Distribution, and Copay program areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the business processes in Pharmaceutical sales, with expert knowledge of syndicated data sources, integrations, CRM structures, as well as reports and analytics across the Commercial programs.
  • Build, deploy and maintain database servers and systems, including relational, dimensional and hybrid data models, data lakes, warehouses and data marts for transactional, BI analytic and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and perform DDL, DML and data mining queries, stored procedures, optimization and partitioning tasks in SQL, python and NoSQL systems for import, transformation, synchronization of automated data processing.
  • Configure ETL integrations using both traditional server based as well as metadata driven and serverless cloud orchestration technologies. Perform loading, internal migrations and export of data to and from internal and 3rd party stream, file, block store and SFTP interfaces.
  • Manage projects and coordinate with internal and external technical and non-technical staff, stake holders, and managed resources for deployment of systems and performance of daily through quarterly refresh cycles.
  • Identify and resolve both data and system issues which may negatively impact business operations or projects, and escalate issues to leadership as needed
  • Actively participating in and/or lead continuous improvement activities, defining and implementing the changes required to create industry-leading electronic data management and analytics capabilities
  • Represent the company in communications with external partners relating to commercial data integration

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical or Med Device Commercial IT supporting MDM, ODS and BI Operations, including CRM/Data Warehouse systems. Additional breadth in Sales and Marketing Analytics, BI reporting, as well as Patient Services, Payer, Copay, and sampling programs strongly preferred.
  • Strong background coordinating and interacting with the business including field and sales management.
  • 5-7 years hands on SQL, Data Warehousing, database development. Must have experience with Postgres/Redshift. Experience with Oracle, SQLServer or other standard RDBMS is also required.
  • 1-3+ years’ experience with Veeva or other pharmaceutical CRM required.
  • 2+ years SalesForce, Apex, including custom object management, ETL is required, Experience with APEX triggers and SalesForce workflow a strong plus.
  • 2 years’ experience with commercial or custom Master Data Management (MDM) and data quality systems (Reltio, Veeva. Etc. or custom)
  • 3 years’ experience with ETL/ELT tools, data loaders, internal and external and transformation tools such as Pentaho, dbt, Informatica, Mulesoft, Ab Initio, SSIS, Knime, Talend, etc.
  • 2-4 years Python for data management. Use with AWS Lambda a strong plus. JS, Node, R, Pig and or SAS experience a strong plus
  • 1-3 years BI report experience (Tableau, IBI, Microstrategy, JS based graphing/reporting, etc.)
  • 1-2 years Linux, shell, SFTP administration experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience with NoSQL platforms such as Mongo, Cassandra, Couchbase, Hive, etc
  • Experience with cloud based technologies, DbaaS platforms, SaaS platforms, AWS/GCP
  • API and data bus experience for integration with RESTful and SOAP based external platforms, data flow and cluster computing experience. Apache Spark a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required with an advanced degree preferred
