Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be based in Chicago, IL .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead development and execution of significant rail/transit including light rail, heavy rail subway, commuter rail, high speed rail, and/or bus rapid transit surface, aerial or underground project pursuits and delivery.

  • Establish relationships with CTA, and other local agencies such as CDOT, IDOT and Metra.

  • Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the area of managing and preparing transportation project teams.

  • Proven track record with large client account management, major-project pursuits, and engineering/planning staff development.

  • A desire to work with external contractors/consultants, AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The candidate must have over 10 years of experience in leading engineering projects with major-project management experience.

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.

  • PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain.

  • Ability to scope/estimate complex projects

  • Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience.

  • Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction.

  • Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role.

  • Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.

  • Travel may be required for this position.

  • The offered rate of compensation (Illinois locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $142,000 – $240,000.
