Raising The Village (RTV) is an international development organization and a registered charity on a mission to end ultra-poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Raising The Village is a fast-growing organization on an accelerated growth path. We currently have 250+ national staff in the SSA region and a team of 15+ in North America working together to lift communities out of ultra-poverty in last-mile villages. We operate at the intersection of direct implementation and advanced data analytics to inform progress, decision-making, and impact.

Role Description
We are looking for a highly adaptable, proactive, and passionate individual to support the Managing Director of a fast-growing organization. As we scale, this role will provide hands-on support in managing high-impact projects and operational activities across multiple departments. The ideal candidate has strong communication, writing, problem-solving, and organizational skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to integrated decision-making and project management. You have a passion for evidence-based programs, a love for communications, and aspirations to be a strong generalist. As a key partner to the Managing Director, you will play a critical role in supporting various projects, from impact reporting to strategy and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Impact Reporting
- Lead the project coordination and reporting for a restricted government grant, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This involves working closely with the Programs and Analytics teams, having a strong understanding of funder requirements and program goals, having strong project management skills, and effectively collaborating across departments.
- Drive the development of the organization’s most critical publication: the Impact Report. Collaborate with the Data Analytics, Communications, Knowledge Management, and Partnerships teams to translate complex data into clear, engaging reports for multiple audiences.
Strategic Initiatives and Executive Support
- Assist in the development of new initiatives with Executive Team sponsors, spanning organizational development, policy and process design, program innovation, and research. This involves managing projects across multiple portfolios and requires a generalist mindset and strong problem-solving and project-management skills.
- Provide daily support to the Managing Director, coordinating projects that cut across various functions and departments.
- Streamline workflows, support decision-making processes, and ensure alignment with organizational strategic priorities across Programs, Knowledge Management, Communications, and HR teams
- Any other work assigned within the scope of this role.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, International Development, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in program reporting within a nonprofit or international development context.
- Strong understanding of program frameworks including theory of change, logic models, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) will be an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in translating complex quantitative and qualitative data into compelling narratives with a portfolio to demonstrate proficiency.
- Exceptional project management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (or Google Sheets and Slides)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Other Considerations
- This role includes working across continents with teams in different time zones and departments. This requires flexibility and comfort with/excitement for dynamic work.
- Travel to program implementation countries, requiring field visits to remote villages may be required. Candidates should be prepared to undertake such travel as part of the role.
- Must be eligible to legally work in Canada.
- This is a hybrid work environment with our office in downtown Toronto.
Compensation & Growth
This position comes with a compensation in the salary range between $70,000-80,000 CAD. In addition, you’ll receive a compensation package that includes health benefits, optional Group RRSP and 4-weeks vacation in line with our policies.
