Job Description
This role provides a full range of costume-making and altering services within the Costume Department at Opera North to ensure that all garments are created in line with the patterns and specifications. The role helps to ensure that costumes are finished on time and ready for productions.
Job Requirements
Experience / skills required:
Demonstrable experience of working in a costume environment, ideally within opera/ballet or large-scale repertory theatre. Accurate hand, domestic and industrial machine sewing.
Skills in hand sewing and using both domestic and industrial sewing machines.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and production schedules.
