Job Summary

Arts1 is looking for a singing teacher to work with a wide range of students, teaching both group classes and one-to-one sessions.

Job Description

Arts1 is looking for a Vocal Coach and Singing Teacher to join our Evening & Weekend School team.

We’re looking for someone who loves working with children and young people and can bring strong vocal teaching into both one-to-one coaching and group Musical Theatre classes.

The role currently includes:

1-2 evenings per week delivering one-to-one vocal coaching

Saturdays teaching group singing sessions as part of our Musical Theatre Saturday School

Working with children and young people across a range of ages, abilities and experience

Ideally, we’d love to find one person who can work across both areas, although we’re happy to hear from strong candidates who may only be available for part of the role.

This role is £30/ph. 1-to-1 sessions are 30 minutes long, and group sessions range from 60-90 minutes.

Job Requirements

You’ll have a solid understanding of vocal technique and be confident adapting your teaching to suit different voices, ages and levels of experience.

An awareness of, or interest in, the Estill Voice Model would be particularly welcome, although it isn’t essential.

Most importantly, you’ll be a positive, encouraging teacher who can help students develop their vocal skills and confidence within a supportive environment.

A genuine love and understanding of Musical Theatre is important, and the ability to accompany students on piano or another instrument would be a significant advantage.

How to Apply

To apply, please send your CV and a short covering email by 9 October at 5pm telling us a little about you and your teaching experience to [email protected].
