Position Overview The position will advance the university’s reputation through purposeful and creative social media messaging and delivery using a variety of channels. This role assists in the coordination with marketing and communications teams to ensure brand message consistency and to cultivate a social media referral network, will help ensure that the content publishing and distribution calendar is managed and up to date to align with the overall strategy and social media content.
Duties may include:

  • Creating and publishing content on social media platforms
  • Coordinating brand message consistency
  • Assisting in the development of brand awareness
  • Monitoring and analyzing social media traffic
  • Providing customer support
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

Required Experience
  • Two years in social media content creation and management
  • Two years with data analytics
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism; four additional years of experience in social media content creation and management (six total) may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree

Required Other
  • Work nonstandard hours to meet business needs

Additional Preferred
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with client relations
  • Experience with social media publishing tools
  • Experience with project management tools
