Job Summary
Job Description
Southwark Playhouse Young Company is a series of weekly drama group for young people living in South London aged 8 – 18 and aims to provide:
- A series of weekly drama workshops at the theatre. Led by professional theatre makers and facilitators, these develop participants’ skills, confidence and abilities, and provide them with an opportunity to meet others with similar interests.
- The development of a number of pieces of theatre performed by the group at Southwark Playhouse and, where appropriate, at others venues in the local community.
From January 2026 we are seeking a co-facilitator for the 11 – 13 Young Company to come and work alongside an existing co-facilitator. This role is aimed at experienced arts/drama facilitators looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment and has plenty of opportunity for someone to put their own stamp on it.
The 11-13 Young Company meet every Saturday during term time from 10:30am-12pm at Southwark Playhouse. Typically this would be for 36 workshops in an academic year.
The fee is £120 per session, paid monthly on the presentation of invoices.
Additional meetings, rehearsals and performances will incur additional fees, in consultation with the Head of Participation.
