Job Description / Essential Elements:
KUSD teachers enjoy many benefits including a four-day work week and a school calendar that features breaks in the Fall, Winter, and Spring, as well as six weeks off in the summer! The Monday through Thursday work week and 148-day contract provide for a work-life balance difficult to match. This regular, full-time teaching position for our 2022-2023 school year is at Kingman Unified School District’s Desert Willow Elementary School in Kingman, AZ. The Rattlesnakes is what our students at Desert Willow are known as. Mr. Batt the school Principal has filled the halls with joyful students by implementing a project-based learning enviroment for students to put their knowledge to the test and connect their learning with real-world applications.

One of the following: • Mild/Moderate Disabilities certificate • Cross-Categorical Special Education • Special Education ID • Special Education LD • Special Education ED • Standard Professional teaching certificate with a Provisional or Full Mild/Moderate Disabilities, PreK-12 endorsement AND One of the Following Endorsements • Literacy K-5 • Reading K-8 • Reading K-12 • Reading Specialist K-12
SEI, ESL or Bilingual Endorsement issued by Arizona Department of Education

Unique Benefits of Being a KUSD Teacher Four-day work week, Monday through Thursday Opportunity for work/life balance with 148-day employment contract Two-week breaks in the fall, winter and spring; one week off at Thanksgiving; six weeks off in the summer Pension through Arizona State Retirement System 301 money in addition to base salary Generous health insurance options Salary and Benefits The 2023-2024 salary range for teachers is $37,075-$48,975. In addition to base salary, teachers are eligible to earn $10,000 in 301 money. Candidates offered and accepting critical needs teaching positions in math, science, and kindergarten may be eligible to receive a one-time $2,000 stipend. Candidates offered and accepting critical needs teaching positions in special education may be eligible to receive a one-time $5,000 stipend and are eligible for an additional case management stipend in FY 2023-24 of up to $4,000. All critical needs stipends are pending appropriate teaching certification. The District also offers generous benefits including options for medical, dental, vision and life insurance with no out-of-pocket premium costs.
