Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Summary

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining analytical procedures for the administration of organization-wide compensation programs that are market competitive, internally equitable, and which effectively motivate employees to meet or exceed LMC service expectations. Advises managers, HR coworkers, employees and administrators in all HR practices that are tied to Compensation in order to provide information about regulations, policies and general support. Senior Analysts will also provide support to other teammates within Human Resources and the Compensation Team.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Human Resources, or related discipline.
Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years of experience working as a Compensation Analyst or Human Resources Generalist with significant involvement in Compensation Program Administration.
Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel formulas and PowerPoint Slides

Essential Functions

  • Conduct market pricing and position grading, maintains database of market data, works closely with HR team and business units regarding pay grades, job slotting, and external benchmarking to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and consistent application of compensation procedures company-wide
  • Proposes salary adjustments to conform to established guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Prepares studies, reports, and ad hoc job evaluations, and cost analyses
  • Reviews management requests for new or revised job classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment. Investigates and recommends resolution regarding job classifications by assessing employee roles, responsibilities and qualifications with appropriate benchmark market surveys. Ensures appropriate classification with regard to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Maintains library of active job descriptions across the organization.
  • Manages annual merit review process to include oversight of management use of the performance evaluation system, review and tracking of all submitted employee performance evaluations, and auditing and follow up of outstanding evaluations.
  • Works on special projects including review/adjustment of pay grades, bonus programs, and special pay incentive programs
  • Documents pay practices and maintain approved pay memos and policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates job codes, position numbers etc. for new positions
  • Manages the Performance Evaluation System
  • Processes compensation personnel action forms and implements pay adjustments
  • Participate in Salary Surveys
  • Keeps abreast of compensation trends
  • May provide project leadership, orientation, and training to other compensation staff members
  • May be assigned to represent the Compensation area in various Lexington Medical Center meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
